Job summary

Placements24 partners with a globally recognized electronics firm seeking an Electrical Design Lead to head the architectural design and development of complex electrical systems. This fully remote role requires directing a distributed team, providing technical leadership and oversight through the complete design lifecycle.

Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB layout, simulations for signal and power integrity, and coordination with firmware and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 12+ years of experience in electrical design engineering with lead/senior role.
• Extensive experience in schematic design, PCB layout and working with PCB layout engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design efforts for new product development from concept to production release.
• Develop and manage detailed electrical design specifications and documentation.
• Oversee schematic capture and PCB layout processes ensuring design rule adherence.
• Conduct design reviews, including CDRs and PDRs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a remote team of engineers.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams for seamless integration.
• Perform simulations and analyses for signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical design.
• Contribute to strategic planning for department and technology roadmap.
