Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced electrical systems in a remote-first environment. You will mentor a team of engineers, define architecture, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in electrical design, deep expertise in embedded and power electronics, and proven leadership in remote or distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in electrical system design with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Expertise in embedded, control and power electronics.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design, PCB layout, signal integrity.
• Firmware development experience is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership and remote collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and integration of complex electrical systems from concept to production.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Define system architecture and ensure conformance to specs and quality.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for seamless integration.
• Perform system-level testing, validation and performance analysis.
• Develop technical requirements, design specs and test plans.
• Research new technologies to enhance system capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and system issues.
• Contribute to strategic planning and roadmaps for electrical systems.
