Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will lead complex PCB design, analog and digital circuit development, and power management for cutting-edge products.

This role emphasizes collaboration with firmware and software teams and requires mentoring junior engineers from a distributed work environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electronic hardware design, strong proficiency with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro, and advanced degrees

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electronic hardware design.
• Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex PCBs, including schematic capture, component selection, and layout guidance.
• Develop and test analog and digital circuits for new product development.
• Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis to ensure design robustness.
• Design power supply circuits and manage power distribution for electronic systems.
• Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to define hardware/software interfaces.
• Develop and execute hardware test plans, including functional, environmental, and compliance testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during development and post-production.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in hardware design.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to setting technical direction for the team.
