Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of international and national electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for new and existing projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software.
• Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design evaluations for proposed designs.
• Oversee selection and procurement of electrical components and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations (e.g., SANS, IEC).
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and project management teams for integrated systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during manufacturing, installation, and operation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and methodologies.
