Job summary

Lindt Store in Cape Town is seeking a passionate customer service and sales assistant to deliver the world-class premium experience Lindt is known for.

You will educate customers on products, upsell, handle POS transactions, manage till, stock, and maintain store standards. Ideal candidates have Grade 12, retail experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; a confident, friendly communicator with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Experience in handling credit card transactions and POS systems.
• Previous experience in customer service and retail environments.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service across in-store and phone channels.
• Greet customers, welcome them to Lindt, and create a memorable experience.
• Educate customers on Lindt products and explain taste profiles and ingredients.
• Upsell to increase transaction value and hit daily sales budgets.
• Process orders through POS and manage credit card transactions.
• Own and manage tills, perform end-of-shift procedures, and count floats.
• Assist with stock, restocking, and maintaining store cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Support monthly stock counts and general store administration.
