Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng, is seeking a technically skilled Technical Support Analyst to join our IT department. This on-site role provides first-line support to internal and external users, resolves hardware, software, and network issues, and maintains the reliability of our IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting, experience with Windows and macOS, familiar with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems, and excellent customer-facing communication

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Support Specialist, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software applications.
• Experience with operating systems such as Windows and macOS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Walk customers through problem-solving processes.
• Identify and elevate situations requiring urgent attention to the appropriate personnel.
• Train users on new hardware or software.
• Track issues and resolutions in a helpdesk ticketing system.
• Perform regular maintenance on computer systems and networks.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of IT support procedures.
