Placements24 is seeking a motivated Service Desk Agent to join their IT support team in Randburg. You will be the first point of contact for IT issues, logging, diagnosing and resolving problems to minimize business disruption.

Candidates should have proven Service Desk experience, strong Windows and networking knowledge, excellent customer service, and the ability to prioritize under pressure. On-site role with opportunities for IT training and career development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a Service Desk or IT support environment.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and manage all service requests and incidents via a ticketing system.
• Provide first-level technical support and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT support teams according to established procedures.
• Assist users with password resets, account lockouts, and general IT inquiries.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
