About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and technically adept Network Operations Centre (NOC) Technician to join their dynamic team in Midrand. You will work collaboratively within a shift-based environment to respond to incidents, troubleshoot network issues, and implement solutions to maintain service continuity. Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor network performance and availability using advanced monitoring tools.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network incidents and outages in a timely manner.

• Perform routine network health checks, performance tuning, and system maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a NOC Technician or in a similar network monitoring role.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), and hardware (routers, switches).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 shift environment and respond to critical incidents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
