About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join their team in Centurion . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of network performance and availability, ensuring the swift identification and resolution of potential issues before they impact service delivery. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a dedicated team to maintain the integrity and reliability of the company's extensive network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Actively monitor network systems and infrastructure using specialized NOC tools, detecting anomalies and potential outages.
• Respond promptly to network alerts, investigate issues, and perform initial troubleshooting to diagnose problems.
• Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system with high accuracy and detail.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and field technicians to escalated and resolve complex network incidents.
• Perform routine network health checks, system maintenance, and preventative actions as scheduled.
• Contribute to the improvement of monitoring thresholds, alert responses, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) , IT support, or similar monitoring role.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow).
• Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the NOC schedule.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective incident reporting.
