Job summary

Placements24 seeks a vigilant NOC Analyst to monitor and manage telecoms network operations from its Centurion hub. You will detect, analyze and respond to network alerts, working with engineering and support teams to resolve issues swiftly.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in IT or CS, 1–3 years of NOC experience, familiarity with SolarWinds or Nagios, and the ability to work shifts in Centurion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a NOC or similar network monitoring environment within the telecoms sector.
• Familiarity with network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor network traffic, performance, and availability using specialized NOC tools and dashboards.
• Respond to and diagnose network alerts, incidents, and outages, initiating corrective actions as per defined procedures.
• Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams, ensuring clear and concise communication.
• Perform routine system checks and network health assessments to proactively identify potential problems.
• Document all network events, troubleshooting steps, and resolution actions accurately in the ticketing system.
