Job summary

A Luxury Estate near Stellenbosch is seeking a Receptionist / Switchboard Operator to warmly welcome guests, answer calls, and guide visitors to outlets and experiences.

Duties include managing bookings, coordinating with restaurant and security, conducting estate tours, and maintaining the telephone directory with accuracy.

Ideal candidates hold Grade 12 and a hospitality certificate, with 1–2 years experience, excellent English, strong teamwork, and neat presentation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and hospitality-related certification are required.
• English fluency with excellent written and verbal communication.
• 1–2 years reception/switchboard experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer-service skills.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Well-presented with enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and sincerity at the reception.
• Operate telephone and switchboard; refer calls to proper departments.
• Guide guests to outlets and experiences; conduct estate tours.
• Maintain bookings/registers and communicate with the security team.
• Update electronic telephone directory and inform management of guest concerns.
• Coordinate lunch/dinner booking information with restaurant and other departments.
• Handle lost property handover with security.
