Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Hospitality certificate.
• 1–2 years reception/switchboard experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer-service skills.
• Fluent in English with excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Able to work in a team.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work within Hospitality operating hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends).
• Comfortable with distinguished clientele.
• Well-presented and enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge guests with kindness, warmth and sincerity at reception.
• Provide information about the estate, facilities and experiences.
• Conduct estate tours with guests.
• Operate telephone and switchboard service for all calls.
• Refer calls and assist appropriate person as needed.
• Maintain a register of bookings and reservations; communicate with Security.
• Compile and update data related to the area of activity.
• Distribute information around the estate.
• Update electronic telephone directory.
• Coordinate lunch/dinner booking sheets with restaurants and departments.
• Keep management informed of guest concerns.
• Handle lost property with security.
