Luxury Estate in Stellenbosch is seeking a Receptionist I Switchboard Operator to warmly greet guests, manage calls, and coordinate bookings. The role involves estate tours, information delivery, and ensuring seamless front-desk operations in a high-end hospitality setting.

The ideal candidate has a hospitality certificate, 1–2 years’ reception experience, strong English communication, and a neat, professional appearance. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 and hospitality certificate.
• 1–2 years reception/switchboard experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer-service skills.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication.
• Team player with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Good computer skills and accurate data entry.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Availability to work during hospitality hours (evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Comfortable dealing with distinguished clientele and well-presented.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and acknowledge them entering or departing the reception area.
• Provide information about the estate, facilities and experiences.
• Conduct estate tours for guests.
• Operate the telephone and switchboard for all calls.
• Refer calls and direct to appropriate colleagues as needed.
• Maintain booking/registers and coordinate with Security.
• Compile/update activity data and circulate information around the estate.
• Update electronic telephone directory and communicate dining bookings to relevant departments.
• Report guest concerns to management and follow up as required.
