Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to optimize production operations at our client’s Vereeniging facility. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and upholding the highest quality in manufacturing processes.

You will analyze workflows, implement improvements, and develop new process strategies while applying lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S techniques. The position offers a hybrid work model in Gauteng with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
4+ years in manufacturing engineering or process improvement.
Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
Experience with process simulation and data analysis tools.
CAD proficiency for layout and tooling design.
Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks.
Develop and implement optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings strategies.
Design and document new SOPs and workflows.
Collaborate with production, quality control, and R&D.
Implement lean techniques such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S.
Evaluate and recommend new equipment to enhance production.
