Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Efficiency Engineer to join our Randburg team. The role focuses on improving operations by analyzing production processes, resource use, and workflows to identify savings and productivity gains.

You will apply Lean methods (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping), develop improvement plans, collaborate with production and management, and monitor KPIs to report results. The position offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years' experience in industrial engineering focused on efficiency and process improvement.
• Solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts and practical application.
• Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses of manufacturing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing methods (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline operations.
• Develop and execute plans for process improvements to reduce waste and costs.
• Collaborate with production teams and management to implement efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs for efficiency, productivity, and cost, reporting progress and results.
• Investigate and resolve operational challenges to maintain optimal throughput.
