Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a Lead Social Media & E-commerce Analyst to optimize online sales funnels, analyze customer behavior, and strengthen our social media presence. You will build dashboards, perform deep-dives into metrics, and translate insights into practical recommendations for marketing and e-commerce teams.

The role requires 4+ years in data analysis for e-commerce or digital marketing, strong SQL, and experience with Tableau/Power BI.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in data analysis for e-commerce or digital marketing.
Proficient with web analytics tools and social media analytics platforms.
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Solid understanding of statistical analysis and testing methods.
Able to communicate complex insights to non-technical audiences.
Degree in Statistics, Economics, CS, Marketing or related field.
Experience with Shopify or Magento is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze e-commerce performance data including sales trends, website traffic, conversion rates, and segmentation.
Develop and maintain dashboards for e-commerce and social media KPIs.
Conduct in-depth analysis of social media engagement and audience demographics.
Translate insights into actionable optimization recommendations.
Identify opportunities for A/B testing on site and campaigns.
Present findings to stakeholders at all levels.
Mentor junior analysts and foster analytical culture.
