Placements24 seeks an E-commerce Social Media Analyst to transform raw social data into actionable insights that propel marketing decisions for a leading online retailer in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.

You will track campaign performance, decode KPIs, and develop dashboards to guide content strategy and ad spend. Strong analytical skills and experience with major analytics tools are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Analyst, Marketing Analyst, or Data Analyst in digital marketing or e‑commerce.

Responsabilités

• Track, measure and analyze social media campaign performance across platforms using analytics tools.
• Monitor KPIs: engagement, reach, impressions, CTR, conversions and ROI.
• Generate regular reports with insights and actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct audience analysis to understand demographics, interests and behaviours of followers.
• Analyse competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities and threats.
• Collaborate with social media and marketing teams to define objectives and measurement strategies.
• Identify trends in data to inform content strategy and targeting.
• Utilise social listening to monitor brand mentions and sentiment.
• Develop dashboards/visualisations to communicate data effectively.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimise content, ad spend and platform strategies.
