Job summary

Placements24 in Durban, South Africa is seeking an analytical E-commerce Data Analyst to turn large datasets into actionable insights. You will work with marketing, sales and product teams to optimize online funnels using SQL, Python and visual dashboards.

You will develop dashboards, monitor KPIs (conversion, CAC, LTV), perform AB testing analyses, ensure data accuracy, and present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences in a fast-growing online retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years as a Data Analyst in e-commerce/retail preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytics, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Python or R is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from e-commerce platforms and analytics tools.
• Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, website performance and campaign effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking KPIs like sales, conversion, CAC and LTV.
• Identify UX improvement opportunities from data insights and experiments.
• Present findings clearly to marketing, sales and product teams.
