Job summary

Placements24 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a data-driven E-commerce Performance Analyst to monitor online metrics, uncover trends, and translate data into actionable recommendations that improve sales and user experience.

You will partner with marketing, product, and operations to build dashboards, conduct A/B tests, forecast performance, and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (stats, economics, maths, CS).
• At least 3 years of data analysis experience, preferably in e-commerce or digital marketing.
• Proficiency with web analytics tools (GA, Adobe Analytics) and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze key e-commerce metrics (traffic, conversion, AOV, CAC, LTV).
• Develop regular performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Identify trends and opportunities to drive strategic decisions.
• Analyze user behavior to find friction points and optimization areas.
• Perform A/B testing analyses to evaluate changes.
• Collaborate with marketing to track campaigns and optimize.
• Work with product to understand performance and customer preferences.
• Support forecasting models and business projections.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay updated with industry best practices in e-commerce analytics.
