Job summary

Renttech SA in Gauteng seeks a proactive IT support assistant to provide first-line helpdesk via phone, email, and remote tools. You will install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

You will assist with user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, perform routine updates and antivirus checks, and help set up network equipment like switches and wireless access points.

Qualifications

• IT related certificate required or expected.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking basics.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and remote tools.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Perform routine system updates and antivirus checks; maintain basic security.
• Support setup and maintenance of network equipment such as switches and Wi-Fi APs.
• Log and track support requests in a helpdesk system; escalate when needed.
• Assist with equipment inventory and documentation.
