Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an IT Helpdesk Administrator to support internal IT services in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on timely ticket handling, user assistance, and maintaining IT hardware and software inventories in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in IT support, strong communication skills, and a good grasp of networking basics. Training and development opportunities are available within a diversified industrial group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in an IT helpdesk or support role.
• Proficient with Windows OS and MS Office.
• Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the IT helpdesk system: log, prioritize, and assign tickets.
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations and IT equipment.
• Assist users with software installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and update documentation.
