Placements24 is seeking a Helpdesk Support Specialist in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will be the first point of contact for end-user IT issues, resolving hardware, software, and basic network problems while delivering friendly, patient support.

The role requires experience in a helpdesk, solid Windows knowledge, and familiarity with ticketing systems. Hybrid work arrangements available with opportunities for IT certifications and growth.

Competenze

• Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with ticketing systems (Zendesk, ServiceNow) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to explain technical issues clearly.

Mansioni

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote desktop sessions.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond to support tickets promptly and ensure timely resolution.
• Document all support activities, resolutions, and user information accurately in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2/3 support or relevant IT specialists.
• Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and deletion.
• Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Contribute to the development of the IT knowledge base by documenting solutions.
• Provide basic training on IT systems and software to end-users.
• Adhere to IT policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance.
