Placements24 is seeking a skilled Technical Support Representative to join our Bloemfontein team. The role involves first-line technical assistance, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring users can utilize technology effectively.

The position supports a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration and remote flexibility for the right candidate passionate about technology support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Support Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and software applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using helpdesk and remote support tools.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Based in or willing to travel to Bloemfontein for hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to end-users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems and applications.
• Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior support staff or relevant teams.
• Educate users on best practices for system usage and security.
