Placements24 is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Officer for a mining services client based in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role provides first and second-level technical support to ensure IT systems run smoothly, with a hybrid work mix of office and remote work.

• 1–2 years in IT helpdesk or technical support.
• Proficiency with Windows OS, MS Office, and common business apps.
• Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to work from Kimberley office for on-site duties.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to help requests from users via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, workstations, and peripherals.
• Assist in managing network devices and connectivity issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff.
• Maintain logs of all support requests and resolutions.
• Perform routine system maintenance and updates.
• Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
