Placements24 is seeking a Helpdesk Analyst to join its IT support team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This hybrid role provides first-line technical support to internal staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while balancing in-person collaboration with remote work options.

The successful candidate will have a matriculation certificate and an IT qualification or certification, with proven IT helpdesk experience and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Matriculation certificate required; a relevant IT qualification or certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems and common office productivity suites.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.

Responsabilités

• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets submitted by employees via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software applications.
• Assist with user account management, including setup, password resets, and permissions.
• Escalate complex IT issues to senior IT staff or relevant specialists when necessary.
• Contribute to maintaining IT inventory and documentation for the helpdesk team.
