Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Event Planner Assistant to support the team in Richards Bay. The role covers planning, coordination, and execution of corporate and private events, with hands-on experiences in event management and vendor liaison.

The position offers hybrid work, allowing on-site and remote task management, and opportunities for growth in the events/tourism sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in event coordination or administration in hospitality or event management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in event planning software and standard office suites.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Willingness to travel to event sites in and around Richards Bay as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead event planners in coordinating all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and entertainment.
• Manage event timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed by deadlines.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to confirm arrangements and resolve any issues.
• Prepare event materials, presentations, and participant information packs.
• Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth execution and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain event budgets and track expenses, assisting with financial reconciliation.
