Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our Arts & Entertainment team. You will plan, coordinate, and manage a variety of events from festivals to exhibitions, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly.

This hybrid role combines on-site event management with strategic planning, collaborating with artists, vendors, and marketers to deliver memorable experiences for the KwaZulu-Natal community.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar event management role.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in managing budgets and negotiating with vendors within the entertainment or arts sector.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events , from intimate gatherings to large-scale festivals and exhibitions.
• Manage event budgets, vendor relations, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with artists, performers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth logistical operations.
• Develop event schedules, floor plans, and run sheets, overseeing on-site implementation and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with marketing teams to promote events and manage attendee communication and registration processes.
