Placements24 is seeking an HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on employee relations for a hybrid role in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will provide comprehensive HR support, focusing on grievances, disciplinary actions, and maintaining a healthy work environment.

You will work with line managers to guide HR policy, support recruitment, benefits administration, and training initiatives while ensuring compliance with SA labor laws and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience as HR Generalist/Officer with employee relations focus.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA).
• Excellent investigative, mediation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting and maintain discretion.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established retail group, is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on employee relations to join their team in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA. This hybrid role offers a balanced approach to work, combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across various functions, with a particular focus on managing employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and ensuring a harmonious work environment. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA).
• Strong investigative and mediation skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
• Strong ethical compass and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in the retail sector is advantageous.
