Job summary

Placements24 represents a prestigious Stellenbosch hotel seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive service excellence across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance.

You will oversee departmental budgets, implement efficiency strategies, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in hotel management, including 2+ years in a managerial role overseeing multiple departments.
• Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Budgeting and P&L management experience.
• Proficiency with hotel management software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operational departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance).
• Ensure exceptional guest services and promptly address concerns.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Manage departmental budgets, labour costs, and resource allocation.
• Recruit, train, and manage the performance of operational staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless service integration.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
