Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Remote Educational Technology Specialist to support and optimize LMS platforms worldwide. You will train faculty, troubleshoot issues, and recommend innovative ed-tech solutions from your home office.
You will work with Canvas, Moodle, and Blackboard, ensuring smooth integrations and user management, while staying current with digital pedagogy trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in an educational technology support or specialist role.
- Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Canvas/Moodle/Blackboard) and admin tasks.
- Proficient with educational software, hardware and digital tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and ability to explain tech to non-technical users.
- Experience delivering technical training to staff/faculty.
- Ability to work independently and in remote teams.
- Familiarity with web conferencing and collaboration platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for ed-tech tools and platforms.
- Assist faculty to integrate technology into teaching and learning activities.
- Develop and deliver training on ed-tech and LMS features.
- Evaluate and recommend new ed-tech to improve pedagogy and engagement.
- Manage user accounts and configurations within LMS and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve issues and apply updates.
- Maintain documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
- Stay updated on trends in ed-tech and digital learning.
- Contribute to the ed-tech roadmap and strategy.
