Placements24 is seeking a Senior Educational Technologist to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative educational technology for online courses. This remote-first role collaborates with educators to ensure engaging, accessible, and pedagogically sound learning experiences.

You will administer LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard), create multimedia resources, and provide training on educational technologies.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in educational technology, instructional design, or a related role.
In-depth knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their administration.
Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.
Experience in developing and delivering technical training to diverse audiences.
Excellent understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote team.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of technological solutions to support online courses and learning platforms.
Administer, configure, and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) to meet pedagogical and administrative needs.
Develop and integrate multimedia resources, interactive simulations, and digital tools into online courses.
Provide technical support and training to educators on using educational technologies effectively.
Research and evaluate emerging educational technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Collaborate with instructional designers and content creators to ensure seamless integration of technology into the curriculum.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and other educational platforms.
Develop documentation, tutorials, and best practice guides for educational technology use.
Stay informed about trends and best practices in educational technology and online learning.
