Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to lead online fulfillment and logistics in a fully remote role serving customers regionally, including Soweto.

You will oversee order processing, inventory, shipping, returns, and continual process improvements to drive efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced online retail environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain.
• Proven track record of optimizing online fulfillment operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS) and e-commerce platforms.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis and performance metrics in an operational context.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to lead their online fulfillment and logistics from a remote position, supporting operations that serve customers across the region, including in Soweto . This role is vital for optimizing the efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction of the e-commerce business. You will oversee order processing, inventory management, shipping, and returns, ensuring a seamless online shopping experience. As a key member of the digital team, you will leverage technology and data to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of e-commerce order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Manage inventory levels across multiple distribution points, ensuring accuracy and minimizing stockouts.
• Develop and implement efficient logistics and supply chain strategies to optimize delivery times and costs.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping carriers.
• Implement and refine operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
