Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Operations Lead to manage and optimize the end-to-end online retail workflow in Centurion, Gauteng.

You will oversee inventory, order fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, and customer service, drive process improvements, mentor the team, and ensure service levels while collaborating with sales and marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, operations, business administration or related field.
• 5+ years experience in e-commerce operations, supply chain or logistics.
• Proven track record in fast-paced e-commerce operations and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, order fulfillment and warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP and WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily e-commerce operations including order processing, inventory management, warehousing and shipping.
• Develop and implement efficient procedures to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with 3PL providers and vendors for timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor inventory, forecast demand, and minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Lead the operations team and drive continuous improvement and performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards across the operation.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to support promotions and launches.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding online retailer, is searching for a highly organized and experienced E-commerce Operations Lead to manage and optimize their operational workflow in Centurion, Gauteng . This critical role will oversee the entire e-commerce supply chain, from inventory management and order fulfillment to logistics and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a sharp analytical mind, a passion for efficiency, and a proven ability to streamline processes within a high-volume e-commerce environment. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining exceptional service levels for our customers. This is a hands-on position requiring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of operational best practices in the digital retail space. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily e-commerce operations, including order processing, inventory management, warehousing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations, supply chain management, or logistics.
• Proven track record of successfully managing operational processes in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems, order fulfillment processes, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP and WMS systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
