Placements24 is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Human Resources based in Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead HR operations, develop policies, and drive programs across talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and HR compliance.

You will mentor the HR team, partner with senior leadership, and ensure a positive employee culture across multiple locations while navigating South Africa's labor laws.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in HRM or related field.
• 8+ years in HR, with 5+ in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and performance management.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS and HR technology.
• Retail sector experience preferred.
• Ability to work remote or hybrid environment.

About the Role

Our client, a growing national retail chain, is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead its HR operations. This role, based in Upington, Northern Cape , will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and HR compliance. We are looking for a proactive leader with a deep understanding of HR best practices, a strong commitment to fostering a positive employee culture, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Requirements

• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and performance management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR technology.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in the retail sector is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
