Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a boutique hotel in Bloemfontein. The role combines hands-on leadership of front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams with remote management of administrative tasks and strategic planning.

You will oversee reception, housekeeping, F&B and maintenance, ensure service standards, manage budgets, and collaborate with the General Manager on growth initiatives. A strong hospitality background and people-first approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hotel operations management, boutique or small property.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and lead diverse teams.
• Experience with guest service, health and safety compliance, and profitability.
• Proficiency with hotel management software and standard Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets, control operational costs, and optimize resource allocation.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the hotel's operational teams, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Implement and monitor service standards to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
• Manage inventory and procurement for operational supplies.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and other department heads on strategic initiatives.
• Support marketing and sales efforts to drive occupancy and revenue.
