Placements24 seeks an experienced Operations Manager for a boutique hotel in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This on-site role requires strong leadership to oversee front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.

You will manage budgets, staff scheduling, vendor relations, and SOP development, while driving occupancy and revenue through exceptional guest experiences and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in hotel operations management, preferably in boutique or upscale settings.
• Strong understanding of interdependencies between hotel departments.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest comfort.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Control operational costs and manage inventory for all departments.
• Develop SOPs to enhance efficiency and respond promptly to guest issues.
• Collaborate with General Manager on strategic initiatives and budget planning.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements.
• Support marketing and sales initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue.
