Placements24 seeks a meticulous Banquets and Events Manager to lead the events services team at a premier Cape Town venue. You will plan, execute and drive profitability for all catered events, from intimate gatherings to large conferences and weddings, ensuring flawless execution and top-tier service.

You will be the primary client contact, translating visions into memorable experiences while collaborating with culinary and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, preferably with banquets or large-scale events in Cape Town.
• Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of banquet and event planning, coordination, and execution from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Develop creative and customized event proposals and menus, tailored to client needs and budgets.
• Manage event staff, including servers, bartenders, and coordinators, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations.
