Placements24 is seeking a Banqueting and Events Manager for a prestigious Durban venue. You will oversee all events, from corporate functions to weddings, acting as the main client contact to ensure seamless execution from planning to completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, banqueting or related hospitality field.
• Excellent client management and communication abilities.
• Experience with event planning software and tools.
• Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning or related field advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee all banquets and special events at the venue.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout planning and execution.
• Develop event proposals, timelines and budgets to ensure satisfaction and profitability.
• Coordinate with catering, AV and venue staff to deliver flawless events.
• Manage on-site setup, execution and breakdown per client requirements and standards.
• Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback for service improvements.

• Coordinate with internal departments, including catering, AV, and venue staff, to ensure flawless event delivery.
• Oversee on-site event setup, management, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to client requirements and venue standards.
• Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and identify areas for service improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, banqueting, or a related role within the hospitality industry.
