About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and creative Banqueting & Events Coordinator to manage and execute successful events at a premier venue in Stellenbosch . This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating memorable experiences, from intimate dinners to large-scale conferences and weddings. You will be responsible for liaising with clients, coordinating event logistics, managing vendors, and ensuring that every detail is handled with precision and care. Working within the heart of the Cape Winelands, this position offers a dynamic and rewarding environment for an event professional to excel, contributing to the venue's reputation for excellence in Stellenbosch .

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients planning banquets and events, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Develop event proposals, contracts, and detailed event orders, ensuring clear communication of all requirements.
• Coordinate all event logistics, including catering, AV, décor, seating arrangements, and timelines.
• Liaise with internal departments (kitchen, banqueting staff, AV team) to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Manage external vendors and suppliers to ensure services meet quality standards and budget constraints.
• Oversee events on the day of execution, troubleshooting any issues and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, banqueting coordination, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
