Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to support a U.S.-based pulmonary specialty practice remotely. The role is part-time (30 hours/week) at $7/hour, supporting three clinic locations with clinical administrative tasks and patient communication.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of U.S. healthcare experience, strong bilingual skills, and HIPAA certification.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant supporting U.S.-based healthcare practices.
• Experience with patient calls, appointment scheduling, EMR documentation, and clinical administrative workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional phone etiquette with empathetic patient communication.
• Active HIPAA certification or willingness to complete before first working day.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming patient calls in English and Spanish, confirm appointments, and route messages appropriately.
• Monitor and manage patient messages, staff queues, and EMR-based administrative workflows; coordinate referrals and scheduling.
• Collaborate with clinic supervisors, medical staff, Billing, and CCM departments to manage workflow and SOPs.
