Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to support a U.S.-based pulmonology practice remotely. The role is part-time (30 hours/week) with a $6.5/hour rate and a 3rd month performance review, requiring strong bilingual communication and healthcare administration experience.

Responsibilities include handling patient calls, coordinating messages, EMR tasks, referrals, and insurance verification, while collaborating with on-site staff and other VMAs.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
• Minimum 1 year experience as Virtual Medical Assistant for U.S.-based practices.
• Experience with patient calls, appointment scheduling, EMR documentation, and clinical admin workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional phone etiquette, empathetic patient communication.
• Active HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain before first day.

Responsibilities

• Bilingual patient communication & phone support in English and Spanish.
• Clinical administrative tasks within the EMR, referrals, scheduling and records requests.
• Collaborate with clinic staff, Billing, and CCM, and help maintain SOPs.
