Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead for our licensed school-age program in Katy, TX. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and mentor staff while building strong relationships with families and school partners.

The role emphasizes youth development, program quality, and community engagement, with opportunities to impact children and families across ISDs served by the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Has or can obtain CPR, First Aid, AED and Child Abuse Prevention certifications.
• Minimum age 21 with HS diploma or GED and required training hours.
• Experience with youth in licensed childcare or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed afterschool program to keep children safe, engaged, and supervised.
• Coordinate daily operations, implement YMCA curriculum, and ensure licensing compliance.
• Build strong relationships with families, schools, and YMCA staff.
• Maintain enrollment, attendance records, and program compliance documents.
• Oversee safety drills, incident reporting, and staff adherence to policies.
