The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring an Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX for a licensed school-age enrichment program. You will ensure safety, supervise daily operations, and build strong relationships with families and partners.

The role emphasizes program quality, licensing compliance, and community engagement. A part-time schedule aligns with school calendars and district partnerships.

Qualifikationen

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; minimum 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership or management.
• At least one year of experience working with youth in a licensed childcare facility, school, church, or similar setting
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities and programming
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to pass state and local background checks and FBI fingerprinting requirements
• Current TB test and any required health screenings or immunizations per state and local regulations

Aufgaben

• Keep Children Safe: create a safe environment, supervise, headcounts, attendance, emergencies per policy.
• Site Management: act as Texas Site Director, oversee daily operations and equipment.
• Supervision and Safety: maintain records, monitor activities, respond to emergencies.
• Behavior Management: implement positive behavior management techniques.
• Program Planning and Implementation: oversee age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Parent and Community Engagement: communicate with parents about progress and concerns.
• Administrative Duties: maintain enrollment and attendance records.
• Program Growth and Retention: develop strategies to grow enrollment.
• Program Quality: plan and implement lesson/activity plans per model.
• Program Evaluation: lead YPQ intervention process.
• Child Abuse Prevention: report and ensure safety and proper sign-in/out
