Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX. You will supervise a licensed school-age enrichment program, ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality activities while building strong relationships with families and school partners.

The role focuses on safeguarding children, coordinating daily operations, and implementing YMCA curricula within licensed guidelines. Part-time hours and a stipend may apply based on location and funding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership or management.
• Two college courses are equivalent to 100 clock hours and meet minimum standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep Children Safe by maintaining a safe environment and proper supervision.
• Oversee daily afterschool operations as Texas Site Director and ensure licensing compliance.
• Manage attendance, incident reporting, and safety drills per YMCA policies.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and oversee program curriculum implementation.
• Engage with families, school partners, and YMCA staff to foster relationships.
• Maintain enrollment records and assist with program growth and retention.

Education
