Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Afterschool Site Lead in Katy, TX to oversee a licensed school-age program. You will ensure safe, engaging activities, manage daily operations, and maintain licensing compliance while building strong relationships with families and partners.

The role emphasizes safety, program quality, and community impact, with opportunities for growth within the YMCA. Flexible scheduling supports Before/After School programming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 70 clock hours of youth development training.
• Minimum 1 year experience with youth in licensed settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications.
• Ability to pass background checks and TB health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe with proper supervision and attendance records.
• Site management as Texas licensing Site Director; oversee daily operations.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and accurate incident/attendance documentation.
• Apply positive behavior management techniques.
• Ensure licensing postings and program policies are followed.
• Plan age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Engage with parents and community; respond to inquiries professionally.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records; support program growth.
• Lead program quality initiatives and monitoring; report to director.
