YMCA of Greater Houston seeks an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee licensed school-age programs in Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD. You will manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure safety, licensing compliance, and program quality in a dynamic after-school setting.

Formación

• Must have high school diploma or GED and training hours.
• Minimum one year experience with youth in licensed settings.
• CPR/First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention certifications preferred or obtainable.
• Ability to plan engaging age-appropriate activities and interact with families.

Responsabilidades

• Keep children safe with supervision and attendance tracking.
• Oversee site operations as designated Texas Site Director role.
• Ensure safety and follow policies; supervise staff and incidents.
• Implement positive behavior management techniques.
• Maintain licensing compliance, drills, and postings.
• Plan and implement activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Engage parents and community; address inquiries professionally.
• Maintain enrollment records and daily rosters.
• Promote program growth and retention strategies.
• Ensure program quality and monitor evaluation processes.
• Report concerns to Program Director; ensure safety protocols.

Educación

High school diploma or GED

70 clock hours training in child or youth development

Two college courses ≈100 clock hours

Experience with youth in licensed setting

Ability to plan, organize, implement activities

Diversity experience

CPR/First Aid/AED & Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain)

Background checks & TB health screenings
