Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware in Millsboro, DE seeks a Youth Development Professional to assist in developing and operating a quality school-age childcare program for children ages 6–12, in compliance with Delacare rules. The role involves supervising children, delivering age-appropriate activities, and maintaining safety and program quality.

Under supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, you will foster positive relationships with parents and staff, act as a positive role model, and

Qualifications

• Mandatory certifications: First Aid/CPR and state licensing requirements for school-age centers.
• Must have School Age Site Assistant/Coordinator certificates as applicable by level.
• Ability to drive 8-passenger van with clean license (points < 5).
• All levels require background checks including FBI and state registries per Delacare requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and operating a quality school-age childcare program for ages 6–12.
• Deliver age-appropriate activities reflecting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware core program areas.
• Supervise children within established guidelines and ensure safety of facilities and equipment.
• Build positive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors; be a positive role model.
