Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to help develop and run a high-quality school-age childcare program that complies with Delacare rules for centers.

Under supervision of the Program Director, you will assist in delivering age-appropriate activities, supervise children, ensure safety, and maintain positive partnerships with parents and schools while modeling positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Level I requires School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Level II requires additional Coordinator certificates and valid driver’s license.
• Level III requires Site Administrator certificate and driving ability.
• All levels require FBI clearance and background checks per DelaCare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program.
• Ensure compliance with Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Support Director in delivering age-appropriate programs for ages 6–12.
• Supervise children and maintain safety and equipment standards.
• Communicate with parents, school faculty and staff as needed.
• Model positive behavior and adhere to club policies.
