Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a youth worker to support a quality school-age childcare program for children ages 6–12. Under supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, you will help develop activities and ensure compliance with Delacare rules.

You will work to deliver engaging programs, supervise youth, and maintain positive relationships with families while upholding safety standards and club policies.

Qualifications

• Must have School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Must possess School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Delaware Department of Education.
• Must be able to drive an 8-passenger van with a valid license and have First Aid/CPR certification or complete within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of a school-age childcare program compliant with Delacare rules.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs and activities reflecting the club’s core areas and Youth Development Strategy.
• Supervise children within established guidelines and foster positive relationships with parents and staff.
• Ensure safe implementation of programs, equipment, and facilities considering age-appropriateness and environment.
• Present yourself as a positive role model and adhere to club policies and state regulations.
