Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program in compliance with Delacare rules. Supervising children ages 6–12, you will deliver age-appropriate activities and maintain safety across indoor and outdoor settings.

Under supervision of the Childcare/Program Director, you will collaborate with parents, school staff and club visitors, serving as a positive role model and ensuring program

Qualifications

• Must hold at least one relevant child care certification (see Level I-III).
• Must be able to pass FBI and state background checks as required by DelaCare regulations.
• Level II/III require driving capability and a valid license with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program.
• Ensure programs comply with Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Supervise children ages 6–12 and maintain safe activities and facilities.
• Maintain relationships with parents, school staff and visitors to the Club.
• Model positive behavior and adhere to club policies.
